  Well it is common among painters to stop painting at a certain time to sit back and take a look at the progress they have made so far. This method could be useful in determining if there are any mistakes made along the way that could be managed or fixed thus increasing the chances of a acceptable and memorable piece.

In short, regarding relationships at times it may be very profitable and revealing to both parties and do as in the painters and take the time to step back from the whirlwind emotions and comfortability. They should take a pause just long enough to decide if this is what they really want in a relationship? Questions such as how would I react if what we are doing now ever slows down, speed up and possible gets out of control?

What if it stops? Are we building something, or are we free vendors?

  Sometimes the painter steps back from the constant monotonous brush strokes that can often result into complacency causing a cancerous mistake that painfully drives the painter to abort the entire project. A decision that could save costly time and useless effort instead of building on something that was damaged from the start, and ends ugly.

Carrying me and her baby....

 

You know how you can ask a seasoned co-worker a few questions about procedures

and practices around the office every once and a while?

  I mean this is acceptable especially if you are fairly new and just haven't gotten

accustomed to the constant changes and improvements that takes place on the job.

Contrary to popular belief I just don't have all the answers. I was used to having my

work director sitting right in front of me before I moved to a different team. Now I don't have

the advantage of getting quick answers to questions that may arise throughout the day.

I found myself having to put forth a little more effort in reaching out to others.

One day I was having difficulty with a certain process and it just so happened at that particular

time most people were in meetings or huddles strategizing on new projects, so there wasn't

anyone within the radius of my desk that I could resort to. I was at a stand-still and

too lazy to get up out of my seat to expand my search for more comrades. I could feel

my patience slipping and stress seeping in. That's when I noticed a 5 foot wonder woman

gliding across the carpet towards the printer. She grabbed her papers and headed back to

her seat which to my surprise was directly behind me maybe ten feet away. I introduced

myself, presented my question and she solved it with ease. From that day forward she

has been a continuous asset to me. There's been countless times she has saved me.

I've bombarded her with questions regarding system screens or processes and not once

has she displayed signs of weariness such as blowing steam from her ears or

pounding her desk with her fist from all my inquiries. I don't know what I'm going

to do when she goes on maternity leave. I guess I should mention also she's nine months pregnant.

I am extremely grateful to be working with this wonderful person.
